Iterative

Iterative development revisits and improves a solution through repeated cycles. Each cycle provides evidence for the next decision instead of assuming that the first design answers every question.

Iteration and Increment

An iteration improves or revises the solution. An increment adds a usable part of the product. The two often happen together: refining a search algorithm is iterative work, while adding a new search filter is an increment.

A Small Example

Build a simple booking flow, test whether users can complete it, then revise confusing steps before expanding the feature set. The next cycle should answer a specific uncertainty rather than repeat work without a goal.

Things to Check

Choose a small outcome, define how it will be evaluated, and review what changed after the cycle. Frequent changes still need tests and a record of decisions. Reworking code without feedback is not automatically effective iteration.
